SONS OF GOD
Who are the Sons of God?

"But as many as received him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name:" (John 1:12)
...

We are well equipped
We as the Sons of God are well equipped to accomplish the will of the Father. We have:
-
Holy Spirit
-
The Armor of God
-
boots of peace
-
belt of truth
-
breastplate of righteousness
-
helmet of salvation
-
sword of the spirit - the Word of God, sharper than any two edged sword
-
shield of faith that quenches the fiery darts of the enemy
-
-
The Blood of Jesus
-
The angels of God who assist us in accomplishing the will of the Father and who have charge over us least we dash our foot against a stone
-
The name Jesus
-
The authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and ALL the powers of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means harm us
-
Dominion here on earth

However, to accomplish the will of God, we need to know His voice, and to know His voice, we need to get to know Him.

INTIMACY WITH GOD
God created man. He created us in His image. He also placed us in the Garden of Eden and walked in the Garden with us. He always intended to have a direct and intimate relationship with us. God speaks to us in many ways: through the written Word of God (logos Word); through His rhema Word (spoken Word - dreams, visions); through objects, though nature; and more. His intent is to have a direct and personal relationship with us. Having an intimate relationship with God allows us to hear Him better (his sheep know His voice).
JESUS WITHIN YOU
Jesus is literally within all Christians. This is not some sweet theoretical thought or feeling, but instead, an actual physical and spiritual reality. When this reality hits, we realize that the pressure is off of us for "performing" miracles, because Jesus has done it all already and He is in us helping that which He has already done manifest. When we lay hands, Jesus' hand touches those we lay hands on and they are healed and made whole. When Jesus tells us to do something, it is because He has equipped us to do that thing.

Jesus is literally within us
-
KJV - "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me": (Galatians 2:20)

"Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?" (2 Corinthians 13:5 - KJV)

Looking at the Mounce translation (the Greek):
"Examine yourselves to see if you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you? – unless, of course, you fail the test!" (2 Corinthians 13:5 Mounce)
- NOTE: the Greek word for “in” is “en”, which means “in, of state, occupation”. Therefore, 2 Corinthians 13:5 means that Jesus is in you and has occupied you.

"To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory" (Colossians 1:27 KJV)

Looking at the Mounce translation (the Greek):
"To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory." (Colossians 1:27 Mounce)

If Colossians 1:27 merely meant that we had thoughts of Jesus or that we merely acted like him, that would not be a "mystery". Jesus literally being within us, that is a mystery. Know that Jesus literally is within you. He never leaves us nor forsakes us and we are not alone. Jesus loves us and desires a personal relationship with us.

HOLY SPIRIT WITHIN YOU
“But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's." (1 Corinthians 6:17)

“And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for He dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.” ( John 14:16)
